Family Reunion

....my Family Reunion quilt is also in pattern form and ready for purchase. I have been shipping and delivering to quilt shops over the week end...for those of you who would like to purchase online...you may do so here.

It feels so good to have both of them complete...but I truly have enjoyed every process each step of the way.

Paper Dolls

This is Novembers block...Sophie goes to Grandma's...I hope you like it because it was really fun to do. I liked doing a few of my favorite things in miniature. Remember that you can click on any of the pictures for an even closer detail! Make your layout to measure 10" x 16". I'll see you in class!

Here it is! Octobers block...Kassidy has a birthday party. Make your layout again, 10" x 16". Also, I wanted to let you know the floss numbers that I used in this block so that you can check while you are home to see if you have them before coming to pick up your kit....that way if needed, you can pick up floss colors at the same time.

Well hello there my friends!.....I hope you are ready for the 3rd class in the "Paper Doll" applique club...it's tomorrow! Prepare a layout size 10" x 16". The above picture is the block that we will be doing...."Kassidy plays Tennis". I hope you like the very first of many outfits to come. Next month we will have one for Sophie.

As I did last month, I have taken SEVERAL pictures of the block as I worked on it until completion....I tried to take pics that I thought would be the most helpful to you such as sevaral of the shoes which will show a visual of cleavages and corners.

One thing I want you to take note of is that my numbers on my freezer paper and layout in the photos (if you even pay attention to them) are different than yours because I changed the order of a few things and took some things out while designing and didn't bother to change them for my block....but I did put the right number order on your pattern so just ignore my numbers and stick to yours!

If you don't know by now...you can click on each picture to enlarge it even more to see more detail if needed. Have fun with the block ladies....I know I did!

It's time to get ready for the second class! Remember that this class comes a week early because I will be out of town on our normal week. Class will be July 14th from 12:30 - 2:30. I hope all of you have been able to complete the first blocks. This block will take longer but you will also have one week more to finish it!
You will need to prepare the size of your layout with tracing paper. It's a large one so you will need to tape pieces together to have the size that you will need.
The layout size is 20" tall x 21" wide. This is a tricky measurement, remember to trace it right. Label the top and side so that you don't get confused when tracing!
It is very important that your layout paper measures this exact size. Because there is alot of detail on this block, you don't want to start out making mistakes.
